Simply Hockey · Last updated 19 April 2026

Simply Hockey is a free, non-commercial app that shows live information about Danish ice hockey tournaments. This policy explains what data the app handles and why. In short: the app is free, has no ads, and does not sell or share personal information.

No account required

You do not need to sign up, log in, or provide any personal information (name, email, phone number, address, date of birth, etc.) to use Simply Hockey.

Data the app handles

Anonymous usage analytics

The app uses PostHog to collect anonymous usage statistics (for example: which screens are opened and how features are used). This data is used only to understand how the app is used and to improve it. It is hosted on PostHog's EU infrastructure (eu.i.posthog.com). No name, email, account identifier, or other personal identifier is attached to these events by the app.

Push notifications (only if you enable them)

If you choose to enable notifications for a game or feature, the app requests permission to send push notifications and receives an anonymous push token from Apple or Google via Expo. This token is used solely to deliver the notifications you asked for. It is not linked to your identity and is not shared with third parties for marketing.

Data stored on your device

Your preferences (such as favourite teams and notification settings) are stored locally on your device. This data does not leave your device except as needed to deliver the notifications you enabled.

Technical requests

When you use the app, your device communicates with the Simply Hockey API (api.simplyhockey.app) to fetch match data. Standard technical information (such as IP address) may appear temporarily in server logs as part of normal internet traffic. These logs are not used to build a profile of you.
